Get Ready for Flood Action Week!
Throughout the week, we will be sharing helpful tips and information on how to prepare for flooding and build long-term resilience in our communities. But that’s not all, our Programme Manager, Alan Ryan, will also be taking part in some exciting events during the week.
On Friday, Alan will be participating in a high-profile Resilience Innovation Blueprint Workshop, in conjunction with our partner Shelley Evans from JBA Consulting.
The workshop will support the development of a new ‘Resilience Innovation Blueprint’ – a technical guidance document, led by JBA for the RAIN Project, which is designed to help Risk Management Authorities plan and deliver effective Property Flood Resilience (PFR) schemes, in line with the CIRIA Code of Practice and industry best practice.
This is a fantastic opportunity to share our learnings from the FCRIP programme, and we’re extremely grateful to Shelley for coordinating what promises to be a productive and collaborative session.
Stay tuned for more updates during FloodActionWeek

The RAIN Project is funded by Defra as part of the £200 million Flood and Coastal Innovation Programmes, which is managed by the Environment Agency. The programmes will drive innovation in flood and coastal resilience and adaptation to a changing climate.
