Front Garden Forests
We have invited residents across the Harpers Brook and Wootton Brook catchments to take part in our brand new Front Garden Forests scheme πΏ
The idea is simple: we want to plant as many trees as possible in front gardens across the catchment. These small, manageable blossom trees will not only bring beauty to your doorstep but play a vital role in local climate resilience by:
π Providing cooling shade during summer months
π§ Acting like a sponge in wetter weather to help reduce flood risk by soaking up excess water and slowing runoff
π¦ Plus, boosting biodiversity in your community.
Working alongside our project partner, Woodland Dwelling, we will provide trees in early 2026. Woodland Dwelling have been nurturing the saplings, ready for their new homes!
