Help Us Name The Brigstock Wetland

🌿 Help Us Name the New Brigstock Wetland! 🦋
There’s a new pocket of nature blooming in Brigstock and we need your help to name it!
The newly created two-hectare wetland is already starting to green up. With the diggers now gone, birds and other wildlife are returning to the site and over the coming months, it will play a role in:
– Reducing flood risk for Brigstock and nearby communities
– Providing a home for local wildlife
– Creating a beautiful space that benefits those living nearby.
We’ll soon be installing information boards at the site so passers-by can learn more about how the wetland works and what you can expect to see – and we’d love to include a name chosen by the community.
Got an idea? Whether it’s inspired by nature, local history, wildlife or flood resilience – we want to hear it!
Please email your suggestion to rain@westnorthants.gov.uk!
The final name will be picked by Hugh, the landowner who helped make the project possible, and it’ll be proudly featured on the official signage at the site.
Thank you for your suggestions!
