Your Flood-Smart Companion: Introducing Resilico Connect

If you have taken part in the RAIN Property Flood Resilience (PFR) scheme, you will be receiving access to Resilico Connect.

This is a free app designed to help you better prepare for, respond to and manage flood risks and your resilience measures.

Alongside your installed PFR measures and preparedness pack, this is the next step in supporting you to manage your flood resilience day to day.

The app allows you to:

  • Create and maintain your personal flood plan
  • Receive flood alerts
  • Keep track of the resilience measures in your home, in one secure place.

A flood guide in your pocket

Resilico Connect is designed to make things simple. Through the app, you can:

  • Keep a record of all the flood resilience measures installed in your home
  • Log and track maintenance checks
  • Create, store and access your personal flood plan
  • Upload photos and important documents
  • Receive flood alerts relevant to your address
  • Access everything in one place, whenever you need it.

It means no searching for pieces of paperwork as everything is stored securely and is easy to find.

Smarter, more local flood alerts

The app provides flood alerts using data from the Environment Agency and the Met Office, helping you stay aware of potential risks.

As part of the RAIN Project, this will soon be enhanced.

Sensors are being installed across the upper catchments of Harpers Brook and Wootton Brook, which will feed into a pilot within Resilico Connect. This will give you access to real-time, hyper-local data, meaning you can better understand what is happening where you live.

Keeping your measures working

Your flood resilience measures are designed to help reduce flood risk, limit water ingress and give you time to prepare for potential flooding โ€“ however they need to be maintained to stay effective.

Resilico Connect helps you:

  • Set reminders for maintenance
  • Record checks
  • Keep a clear history of what has been done.

This can be useful if you ever need to share information with insurers or buildings maintenance / construction companies, should you ever make additional adaptations or extensions at your home.

Your personal flood plan

The Resilico Connect app also allows you to create your own flood plan, setting out what to do and when.ย ย Having this in place means you are not making decisions in the moment, as you will already know what steps to take.

Supporting your long-term resilience

This is about more than just installing Property Flood Resilience measures.ย  Resilico Connect helps you stay organised, aware and prepared, giving you confidence that everything relating to your PFR is in one place.

Getting started

You will be supported in setting up Resilico Connect as part of your PFR journey.ย  During the post-installation audit phase, our installation team will visit you and will help you get set-up on the app, talking you through how it works.

In the meantime, feel free to download the app in advance: search โ€œResilico Connectโ€ in the App Store or Google Play, or scan the QR code in the leaflet you will be provided by a member of the Watertight International team during the post-installation audit phase visit.

Flood resilience isn’t achieved through a single solution. Instead, it is built by bringing together a range of complementary approaches that work together, much like the pieces of a jigsaw.
